Dock Levellers

An effective loading bay is central to every successful operation. As the point of entry for goods into your business, the area where your vehicles dock must meet the needs of vehicles, handling equipment, operatives and health and safety legislation.

Dock levellers are designed to ‘bridge the gap’ between the loading bay and the vehicle, ensuring loading and unloading is safe. Using a leveller, goods can be moved in and out of the vehicle with one straight movement whether you are using cages, forklifts or pallet trucks.

Dock Shelters

Dock Shelters and seals provide protection from outside elements by helping to create an effective seal between the vehicle and building, maintaining comfortable working conditions, barrier against insects and airborne pollutants and protecting the goods being loaded or unloaded. Dock Shelters are crucial to cold store environments where temperature control is essential.

Warehouses and logistic companies can choose from a wide range of different shelters and seals based on which vehicles are using their bays and the type of goods being loaded/unloaded.

What are my options for Dock Shelters?

Foam Dockseals

Timber Base: The pads are mounted on a timber base of 150 x 50 PSE Redwood, treated with black preservative paint. Once installed, the bases will not require any form of maintenance. Foam: The pads are filled with RX 24 Grade expanded foam with residual memory. Side Pad Covers: The covers are made from PE 900g / 2000 Gloss black PVC complete with wear pleats and yellow traffic marks. The covers are secured with Galvanised coach screws. Head Pad Cover: The covers are made from the same PE 900g / 200 Gloss Black material with double thickness on the front of the pad where contact occurs.

Rigid Dock Shelter

Framework: The rigid frame is constructed from 50 x 50 steel box section powder coated to prevent corrosion. The frame is then covered in heavy duty PVC coated on both sides. The frames are supported by sturdy shelter brackets secured to the wall and finished in safety yellow powder coating. Curtains: 3mm heavy duty PVC material is used in the design not only for its resistance to the elements but also its durability against abrasion. Curtain Design: Side Curtains have a 1000mm x 100mm yellow guide stripe. The head curtain has rounded corners. All curtains have additional shock cord straps to minimise wind deflection in non loading periods.

Retractable Dock Shelter

Framework: Manufactured with a 60mm x 30mm galvanised steel box section. Cantilevered arms bolted to the back and front side beams. These are pivoted at each end to allow the shelter to retract against the building in the case of vehicle contact. General Specifications: The frames of the roof and sides are clad with a 600gm/m² flexible PVC polyester. The head curtain and two side curtains are manufactured from 3.5mm thick polyester. Both come with internal memory structure to enable the curtain to return to original position after being distorted.

Inflatable Dock Shelter

Inflatable dock shelters provide you with the most versatile sealing system available, being able to facilitate various sized vehicles whilst offering the ultimate sealing between the vital gap of the vehicle and building.
This model is recommended for cold stores and where vehicles with tail lifts are prominently used. Models are available for either dock mounted or down to ground and can be custom manufactured to suit most environments, ie: large or low doorways.
